I don't care about the emotes at all, and it's not the content of the update that I don't like. It's the fact that they wasted their time on this instead of address actual issues that the community wants to see addressed.

What's this going to do to enhance PvP? How is this going to get more people involved in PvP at a time when PvP is basically inaccessible to anybody who's not already experienced?

What does this add to the PvE game, where so many players feel that they've already done everything worth doing and now just basically stand around harrassing each other like they're in some sort of 3D 4chan thread?

What does this offer to any of the volumes of people who have basically left the game because they're fed up with title grinds and reskinned garbage and the crashed economic system?

Nothing, nothing, and nothing. It's not the emotes that are the problem, it's that there are serious problems with this game that should be addressed, but all ANET wants to do is toss out these pathetic bids to keep a few stragglers hooked long enough to generate some hype when GW2 launches.

IMO remove emotes from the Hero title. It was only needed before Factions to show rank.

(im glad i decided to save all my keys instead of use em up/sell em)

btw this is pretty much a pve title
since its faster to farm gold than it is to farm balth faction
(depending on wut the price of zkeys will come to)

The idea of a new title and emotes that can be used as a finishing move is awesome. Although tiger already works pretty good as that, it would be nice to have these weapons fall on everyone's corpse too. Ha ha.

Only things wrong with the Zaishen title is that:

1. Takes way too long to Max.
2. These emotes, or some different emotes, should have been added to the existing Gladiator title too.

Shrug. People did want a bathazar faction title. Sucks if it isn't retroactive (which it probablly won't be). The emotes are a bit much.

They should have made a title for ectos. The more ectos you have, the larger your ecto emote when you /ecto.

This title serves two usefull purposes in a slightly crude manner:

- It is a way for PvP players to earn gold.

- It gives PvE players rank style emotes.

Gold for PvP players is necessary for things like Guild Hall NPCs, sigils, invites, or just buying things for your PvE characters.

Lets face it, every title in the game outside of Champion is farmable/buyable, and this one really is no worse. Unlike most of them it kills two birds with one stone.

PvE players have been asking for a title with rank emotes for a long time, and now they have one.

A quick google search tells me that 1000k goes for around 150 bucks. The title takes 60,000k to max, not considering that zkeys are going to skyrocket in price. That means someone would have to spend 9000 dollars for a pixelated emote in a video game. I hope I don't have to describe how utterly stupid that is.

If we can earn so many reward pts in one shot, can the devs implement a way to exchange all the reward pts for keys in one go? Just like how you can earn 10 amber with 10k faction in a few clicks?

As for the changes, I've sold over 500 keys, would I have rather sold them now that the price will probably sky rocket? Probably. Would I have used the keys myself? Maybe. Am I pissed about it? Why should I be? As people mentioned already, this has no effect on you if you don't care about the title.

People calculate that it would cost 60 million to max it, why do you think only in terms of maxing the title? People work on their gladiator and commander title where maxing it will take a significant amount of time. But they still work on it.

The Zaishen title is similar, except you actually get to show off an EMOTE per rank. Something that people begged for, an alternative to the HA emote. Anet has given it to you. I realize this is not a PvE emote, but you can still earn it through PvE means (buying the keys). So what you can't max the title? People pay for fame all the time, I don't think anyone would attempt to pay all the way to r15 or r12.

If you don't like the title, then profit from it by selling whatever keys you may come across and be done with it.

I think the only people deserve to complain are those who spent thousands of keys. It is unfortunate the title is not retroactive.

Hmm, the thing I find weird is that people have been asking for an emote for the gladiator title for a LONG time, yet they decide NOT to add an emote to the glad title, but instead they add a new title, WITH an emote. Considering buyable titles aren't exactly hard (well, this one is pretty impossible to max out with money alone), this was a pretty silly move.
